DATAVAULT SERVICE LAUNCHED AT GITEX 2008
Dubai. Oct 19, 2008 – DataVault, the Remote Online D2D BackUp Service was launched for the first time in the Middle East coinciding with the start of GITEX, the Middle East’s largest IT expo. DataVault promises to offer a Sure, Secure and a Safe way of handling and managing backups for SMEs and large enterprises. With its next generation of Disk to Disk, agent-less backup technology, now anyone can benefit from this service, right from an enterprise with 1 user to companies with hundreds of users. “We are solving one of the biggest IT nightmares of proper, restorable, reliable backup of critical data, without having to shut down any of their systems” said Azfer Nazir, CEO of DataVault. “Today, IT managers are wasting valuable resources in doing menial jobs such as tape-backups, which fail most of the time, and adds to employee frustrations”, he added. With the service offering at $99 a month, DataVault expects a very broad level acceptance and adoption from the SME businesses. Its cost effective and does not eat into the capital expenditures. “Its like buying a reliable insurance for any eventuality. Today most businesses are highly vulnerable to various types of system failures and of critical importance is to put them back in business restoring the systems, quickly and reliably” added Mr. Abdul Bakhrani, Founder & Managing Director of DataVault. He also mentioned that today’s electronic data compliance require organizations to maintain their Email and other Electronic Document records for as long as Five to Seven years, and this is the best way one can comply to these requirements. DataVault service is based out of the Middle-East for the Middle-East businesses and this is highly comforting factor for most organizations in the region. They are not relying on some service which is in the US or Europe. The buck stops here and the data is encrypted to highest 256 bit standards and no-one can decipher that data without the decryption key from the customer. DataVault is confident that DataVault will resolve a major pain-area for a large number of IT managers, providing them the peace of mind they deserve. They are projecting a minimum of 200 customers in the first year of operations. |
